Initially built as the First Savings Bank of Pest, later occupied by a high-prestige tenant that remained there for decades, the Budapest Stock Exchange. The building became part of UNESCO World Heritage in 1987, and is considered a national monument.
The building was built between 1911 and 1915 on the basis of the plans drawn up by Ignác Alpár and is located in the most popular pedestrian zone in Budapest in a busy tourist quarter
